Higher prices make driving for pleasure less pleasurable.

Hey there Ma 64 Nana .. yes we are also senior citizens and do not drive only if necessary .. and, make the trip to cover every single thing we need to do count. Hubby has dr. appt. and other stops that need to be made will be done at the same time. All the best to you MA64NANA

Just wondering how many other SENIOR citizens there are commenting on here? With Soc Sec being 700 a month total income? YES, these gas prices being over $4 a gallon is REALLY affecting me!! My DeVille wont give me more than 18 mpg around town, but 30 on highway.

Seldom go more than 5 miles from home and make a "PATH" to stores I go to! Not even getting to see kids/grandkids/great grandkids who are all within 25 min of my home. Def. cant go see siblings an hour from home. Found "deal" of $3.89 tonight COUPLE MILES AWAY ON MILLER ROAD/FLINT BY XPRESSWAY so my son took me to fill up my "tank".

Watch, tomorrow it will prob'ly drop 20 cents a gallon. lol. Have to just TRUST the Lord to get us through this INSANITY with gas prices which also are affecting FOOD prices so my PANTRY is now almost empty!!!

Not much. I drive my vehicle for work (http://24-7pilotcar.com/) so don't have much choice. It sure cuts into the profits though!! Living near the Canada/US border, I find myself going into Washington state to fill up when I can and I try to make it into Alberta before I buy fuel again. I've gone as much as 14 days without buying gas in BC. Filling up my truck and 8 Jerry cans outside of BC can save me as much as $80 over buying gas at home. Ridiculous, isn't it?

Definitely.
I won't do a lot of personal running around if gas prices are really high. Just the basics -- to and from work.

Well we are from Tn so with these outragous gas prices we don't get to visit our family as much. We're not sure if we are even going home for the holidays.

There are times there no money left. I have to pay bridge toll $5.00 per day, and the rising gas cost.
