Better to ask when was the last time it was not. I would not be able to accurately answer that one.

I was driving in the state of Chiapas, Mexico. I took a detour to avoid blocked roads in Las Margaritas. Normally buildings on the corner are marked with direction arrows, but this one was not. As I was nearing my destination, four police officers were running towards my vehicle waving their arms for me to stop: I had gone the wrong way. I surrendered my licence plate, as is customary, and followed them a half a block to speak with the police director. After telling him my story and making everyone laugh with my impression of the police officers, (Gestures were needed to aid my basic driving skills), the director forgave the ticket, and I saved 40 pesos ($3.25 USD). Praise the Lord for His sense of humor.
