Hey.. if I had a 25 year asphalt roof that was less than 10 years old, still in very good or better condition with good or better underlay, if that roof had any decent area and faced south or any variation thereof, wasn't overly shaded, with the federal gov't picking up 30% of the cost thru a carriable dollar for dollar credit on your 1040...that roof and any like it... would be covered...I would even consider reroofing a 20 year old roof just to put the solar on that if that roof faced southward and had little shade...the cost is so low.. and the return so great.. it beats a lot of other so called investment tools hands down...Joe

Hey Bud...
Sustained winds of 80 MPH.. peak wind gust 125 MPH.. more than we've ever seen in 40 years... but Im sure an F2 tornado would blow it off... haven't seen one of them either... Wind deflectors get placed soon... and the system passed construction approval on Monday as built.. It's definitely NOT an 'awning ' or 'overhang' structure that you've seen blow off on a business or hotel.. more rigid beaming and angle brackets.. the bolts are sunk deep into the rafters...It already survived a 50 +MPH gust this storm we just had... so I'm fairly confident.. PS: An earthquake or hurricane can damage a nuke plant.. and an act of nature can damage this array... difference is what comes out of it afterward.. regards, joe

Hi OilBGone, Thanks for stopping by and looking at my photos. VERY sorry that you were impacted by Sandy. I have a buddy on Long Island, but she was spared from major damage. Believe it or not, but we actually had an inch of snow here the last week if Feb. It was the first measurable snow in five years and of course melted within a few hours. We have hit the low 80s for two days, but are expecting 50s and 0.5" of much needed rain tomorrow. Hope that you have a good weekend. Your buddy, Warren {:D)
